Trolls are massive beasts, with thick hides and incredible strength, . Despite their menacing looks, Trolls are generally friendly and good-natured. Oh, and they take great pride in their fabulous hair.
Upon hitting adulthood, many Trolls are fitted with “Searing Masks” which are masks made of a magical metal heated until they're white-hot and then placed over the Troll's face and left there forever. The metal then heats up whenever a troll is about to enter battle and causes them to go into a berserker rage, making them even stronger and more dangerous. It helps even the odds against their mortal enemies--Ogres.
Now, until Weaver came along, no Troll possessed any magical abilities outside of some basic blacksmithing spells
